Une Hirondelle (cycle 1)
Born in 1959, Pascal Proust studied music at the Orlean Conservatoire before entering the Paris Conservatoire. Predominantly a performer, Proust has also composed a variety of significant works, A Swallow for Flute and Piano being no exception. Published in 2004, a typical performance of A Swallow last about two minutes. Proust's piece for Flute has been included in exam syllabuses since its publication and is suitable to beginner to intermediate level flautists. A Swallow is a delightful addition to the Flute's repertoire.
