This already legendary oboist now presents three demanding, yet humorously enigmatic, pieces for the bassoon. The first ( inch.Mathematics inch.) is not the only piece to require careful calculation, with the second piece ( inch.All Kinds of antics inch.) recalling Mozart's famous coloratura aria from The Abduction from the Seraglio. In the third piece ( inch.Ex-Amateur inch.), composed for the 2002 ARD music competition, the bassoonist literally has to pass an exam in almost unrealisable playing feats - only suitable for the brave-hearted!
