Progressive studies is the second volume of the series Sixty Studies for Violin, written by Auguste Samie and edited by G. Catherine.

Containing twenty studies, this volume should help upper beginners / intermediate violinists to play with the first and third positions more naturally. An increasing difficulty can be perceived in term of rhythm and tempo.

This volume is completed by 'Dainty Studies' (Volume 1) and 'Melodic Studies' (Volume 3).
