Sunan Dances
Sunan Dances, an innovative work by one of America's most talented young composers, is in one movement consisting of an introduction followed by three large sections. A Chinese melody from the Jiangsu province is interpolated into the work and given western harmonization, orchestration and phrasing -- producing an exciting and beautiful new approach to the contemporary wind band. This highly original composition will be a welcome addition to your concert repertoire! (9:09) Recording of Columbus State University, Robert W. Rumbelow, conductor - full length recording courtesy of Summit Records. Full length recording available on "Journey" CD (DCD374 - www.summitrecords.com)
