The well-known hymn Â"Leaning on the Everlasting ArmsÂ" is arranged here in Â"theme and variationsÂ" style, each individual movement presenting the hymn-tune in a creative and unique style. Registration suggestions for each section are included and a variety of meters and moods are represented, some easier and some more challenging, including a movement where only the pedals are played. In addition to playing the Partita in its entirety for festive services and recitals, the sections may be played individually or in smaller groups, depending on the musical requirements of the services.
