This exciting musical was designed to introduce students to the enchanting world of opera. Through the use of witty dialogue and a number of operatic settings, a group of students touring a local opera house encounter a cast of comical characters who guide them through the many joys associated with operatic music and stagecraft. During the course of the musical, the students explore the lives, works and music of six celebrated operatic composers. The flexible cast of characters can range from as small as 20 to as many as 75 with doubling and combining parts viable options. When the curtain comes down on this musical, these budding opera buffs will have bloomed into full-fledged aficionados of this magnificent art form.
