J.S. Bach - Brandenburg Concerti Nos. 4 in G Major (BWV1048) & 5 in D Major (BWV1050) - Music Minus One Violin
Look Inside
The amazing creativity and richness of instrumentation in these concerti have kept them to this day a most valued contribution to concert programs. The Concerto No. 4, scored for two flutes, violin and string orchestra is essentially a concerto for solo violin. The instrumentation of Concerto No. 5 calls for virtuoso parts for harpsichord, violin and flute. Contains a printed score and a compact disc featuring both concerti in split-channel stereo with the violinist on the right channel; then again in a stereo accompaniment version minus the solo violin part. Performed by Geoffrey Applegate, violin Accompaniment: Stuttgart Festival Orchestra Conductor: Emil Kahn
