It includes children's music by Bach and Bartók, first keyboard works of Mozart, and even Kabalevsky's My stubborn little brother. The publisher Boosey & Hawkes has created a most attractive lay-out for these 95 solo piano pieces, most of which are at the intermediate level...I thoroughly enjoyed the contrasting styles in each volume. All periods from the 16th-century to modern are present. The volumes include some familiar works, such as Franck's 'Doll's Complaint', but a clear majority of the pieces are new and at times refreshing.--American Music Teacher
