Blai Maria Colomer (1833-1917) was a Spanish pianist and composer. Following his studies at the Paris Conservatoire, he led a successful career as a teacher and composer. He is best remembered for his operas, yet his Fantasy Legend for Horn remains popular as a competition work at the Paris Conservatoire.

Fantasy Legend is a chromatic work for Horn in F first popularised in the 1899 solo Horn contest at the Paris Conservatoire.
