Duration: 5'. This is a short and melodious piece for cello and piano written in 1957, to which a version for double bass edited by Quirijn van Regteren Altena has been added. The notes of the bass version remain unaltered, but bowing and articularion are arranged to suit the instrument. The double bass is tuned up a tone, to the scordatura: F#-B-E-A and the part is notated accordingly. Difficult.
