Et La Jeannette Avec - Equal Voices and One Bell
Thierry Pécous Chorwerk leans against the well-known French nursery rhyme Ne pleure pas Jeannette [Do not cry, Jeannette]. Although the harmony is expanded and the voices are sometimes conducted like instruments, the piece remains very close to the original lyrics and the original melody. The folk-song miniature drama takes its course: Jeannette prefers to be hanged as a prince with her great love, the death-condemned Pierre.
