French composer Julien Falk (1902-1987) was a famous composition teacher at the Paris Conservatory. He wrote many popular theoretical music books, Complete and Progressive Technique of Harmony being no exception.

Compiled in 1969, the second volume of Falk's Complete and Progressive Technique of Harmony addresses figured bass and chorale writing.
