Classical Duets for Violin - A Journey Through the History of Classical Music
"Classical Duets" is a collection of famous classical themes arranged for two moderately advanced violinists. The voices require command of the first position. For violinists who have already mastered the third positions, fingerings are stated between brackets. Each time, the first voice contains the theme. Of course, the second voice is written for a similar level. Because the duets have been classified chronologically - according to the composer's year of birth - you will travel through time while you play, starting from the 17th century all the way to the 19th century. CONTENTS: Theme from Rondeau (Purcell). Trumpet Voluntary (Clarke). Spring (Vivaldi). Minuet (Handel). Gavotte (J.S. Bach). Dance (Gluck). Andante (Haydn). Minuet (Boccherini). Andante grazioso (Mozart). Allegro (Beethoven). William Tell Overture (Rossini). The Trout (Schubert). Wedding March (Mendelssohn). Bridal March (Wagner). Cancan (Offenbach). Gaudeamus Igitur (Brahms). Habanera (Bizet). Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy (Tchaikovsky). Allegro (Dvorak). Anitra's Dance (Grieg).
