Cantate Domino is an anthem of general praise that may also be appropriate for late Epiphany. For general occasions, suggested corresponding lectionary readings include Ruth 1:1-19a, Psalm 146, Matthew 22: 15-22, and 1 Thessalonians 1:1-10; and basic homiletical theme is singing praise and thanksgiving to our merciful Lord. For late Epiphany, suggested corresponding lectionary readings include Psalm 138, Isaiah 6: 1-8, Luke 5: 5-11, amd 1 Corinthians 15:1-11; one basic homiletical theme is accepting the joyful call to serve Christ.
