Bach - Triple Concerto in A Minor & Vivaldi - Concerto No. 9 in D Minor - Music Minus One Flute
Look Inside
Bach's intricate 'triple' concerto for keyboard, violin and flute is a challenge, containing much brilliant passagework. The less formidable slow movement was taken from the organ sonata No. 3. It is a companion to the Brandenburg Concerto No. 5, the first movement of which is included on this album. An extremely rewarding and enjoyable piece for study. Vivaldi's D-minor concerto was originally written for oboe but is equally at home on the flute. Both are Baroque music at its best. Includes a high-quality printed music score and a compact disc containing a complete performance of the concerto in split-channel stereo, with the soloist on the right channel; and a second performance in full stereo minus the soloist. Performed by Jeffery Zook, flute Accompanimen : Stuttgart Festival Orchestra Conductor: Emil Kahn
