Ubi caritas et amor - SSAA a cappella
Look Inside
This work (here arranged for upper voices) by Kim André Arnesen, one of Norways most performed contemporary composers, was commissioned by the Athens Master Chorale, Georgia, USA for the 50th anniversary of their founder and conductor, Joseph S. Napoli. Afrequently set Latin text ('Where charity and love are, God is there'), Arnesens unique and original setting combines the composer's characteristic flowing melodies and rich harmonies to create a deeply expressive and heartfelt work. As the composer himself explains, in a world with a lot of tension and disunity I wanted to write a piece that sings about the commandments to loveone another. This music will certainly move both audience and singers, and ist suitable for church or concert use. Also available for mixed voices (BH 13412).
