Three Grand Duos for two guitars Volume II - Duos IV-V-VI (composer FRANZ JOSEPH HAYDN)
Editions Orphée presents the second volume of Three Grand Duos for classical guitar duet, following up the earlier release of Volume I. Eighteenth century Frenchclassical guitarist and composer François de Fossa adapted numerous pieces by Haydn for two classical guitars, originally written for arrangements such as stringquartet, keyboard, and symphony orchestra. De Fossa largely transposed each piece to be more guitar-friendly, but some also remain in difficult keys, such as A-flat. Haydn's talentfor keeping up with the musical trends of his time provided de Fossa with ample opportunity to pick and choose certain movements and fit them togetherstylistically. These volumes also contain the expertise of Belgian classical guitarist and editor Jan de Kloe, who rescued these fine works from the Library of the Konkinklijk Conservatoriumin Brussels and made them available to classical guitarists around the world. For intermediate to advanced players.
