Each study is approximately a page long and is written in the medium range of the instrument. It uses all tonalities to enable musicians to play some notes they are not always used to.

It completes the other book of technique studies by Gerard Pichaureau.

Born in 1916, Gerard Pichaureau is a Trombonist and composer. Soloist for the French Republican Guard, he also taught Trombone at the Paris Conservatoire after André Lafosse.
