“That Day on Calvary” gently reflects on the thoughts and feelings of those who witnessed Christ's crucifixion. As the flute quotes “O Sacred Head, Now Wounded,” we are asked to reflect on our own feelings about Christ's sacrifice. Those present at Calvary did not know the magnitude of the events taking place, but we are very much aware of God's purpose and we are awestruck.
