From Lias' National Parks Series, ...Into the Blue is his musical distillation of the Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site (Cornish, New Hampshire). Three movements describe the pastoral setting, several of the monuments, and the famous "Masque of Ours," a performance by the artist community to honor their patron. Commissioned by the Trustees of the Saint-Gaudens Memorial, ...Into the Blue was premiered in the Little Studio on site.

A descriptive solo of about four minutes, White Water is somewhat demanding of skills and stamina. The impressive piano work has been performed by such talents as Christopher Oldfather and Dmitri Raster.
